InterCultural Studies Graduates
What does life look like after graduation?
Erin Peters ('07)
Erin is currently living in Israel with her husband, Kurtis, while he is enrolled full-time in seminary there. She is also doing some studying, and taking advantage of learning about the history and culture of Israel.
“I am glad to be here because I'm learning so much and it's giving me a chance to think about what Kurtis and I should do with our lives and just gives me time to learn and read and write and think about the world, which can be depressing … but God always sneaks into these places and offers hope and peace and that is what I try to hold on to; some days are harder than others.”
Amanda Wieherdt ('07)
Amanda is currently working as a teacher in Korea. She has recently found an English-speaking church, and is excited about the further ministry opportunities there, such as teaching English to orphans, and working with North Korean refugees.
“Sometimes I am sad I am finished at CBC...but so thankful and blessed to have had been there...that is the place I grew the most and had amazing people around me! But It is cool to be finished!”

Through this position, he has been provided with the opportunities to join in on leading high-school missions trips overseas, including heading to Beijing, China for the 2008 Olympics. He is also involved with senior high youth ministry through his church.
Erin Hipfner ('05)
Erin is currently working at MBMS International, the global mission agency of the MB churches of the United States and Canada, as assistant to the General Director and the Global Program Director. As she serves the board, leadership and missionaries of MBMSI, Erin is taking every opportunity to learn from them with the hope of serving long-term overseas in the future. Erin also participates in short term trips as much as possible.
"I am not at all where I expected to be after graduation, but I am doing exactly what I hoped to do - working together with missionaries to fulfill the Great Commission. I am effective here because of my time at CBC, and I am especially grateful for the challenges I encountered and the lessons I learned during my internship year in southern Africa."
