Outdoor adventure programming has long been an important part of many camp, church and para-church ministries. Today is no different; adventure recreation and tourism have become two of Canada's leading industries. Marketing agencies, media and the church have further increased the public interest surrounding outdoor adventure. With the increase in public interest has come the need for qualified and experienced leaders. As more people become involved in the outdoors, industry standards for leadership training continually increase. At Columbia we are committed to training Christian outdoor leaders with the qualifications and skills necessary to begin a career and life long ministry in this rewarding and challenging field.
