All we do at CBC is designed for the purpose of “Preparing People
for Life and Ministry”. As Christians we know that those two
words must go together. God never intended the Christian life to
be void of ministry nor ministry to be distinct from life. The
CBC Service Learning Department desires to bring those two words
together in a meaningful way for each of our students by providing
hands on ministry experience in life settings. We want to do this
by providing:
1. Opportunities for students to:
Explore their gifts and talents in a supervised setting
Gain practical experience in a safe environment
Develop a servant heart
Apply what they are learning in the classroom
2. Opportunities for churches / organizations to:
Experience the benefits of having contact with one of our great students
Help a student learn in an understanding setting
Get help for their ministry / program
3. Opportunities for supervisors to:
Invest time and energy into a student
Develop a mentoring
relationship and pass on what they have learned to someone who will
benefit from the supervisors experience
By providing those quality opportunities CBC along with the
churches/organizations will help our students “Learn To Live Well” as
they
prepare for a life of ministry in the years ahead.
