Service Practicum Policies

Two credits of service practicum are required for graduation from a certificate program and four credits are required for graduation from a diploma or BA program. Each credit hour includes a minimum of 24 hours of supervised volunteer experience.
Service Practicum Placements must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 2-3 hours/week

  • Be a volunteer position, not a paid position

  • Have a supervisor to oversee and give an evaluation at the end of each semester
