Transfer StudentsTransfer of Credits To Columbia Students who have completed courses at an accredited
Bible institute or college OR at a secular college or university may receive some advance credit. The College reserves the right to accept only such
courses for credit as comply with the academic standards and graduation requirements of the school. Credit will be given only for work, which has
been given a grade of no less than 65%. Music transcripts must be presented for evaluation before any credit is given. In the case of non-recognized
institutions or programs, the College reserves the right to limit to seven hours the number of credits to be awarded for work done at schools with a
non-academic emphasis.
Please be sure to include any post
secondary transcripts with your application if you wish to have a transfer evaluation completed.
Credit by Examination
Occasionally a student at Columbia will have had experience equivalent to a
particular course in the College curriculum. Such educational experience would include non-accredited studies, teaching, a writing project, work
experience or extensive reading. This student will be allowed to petition for Credit by Examination through the Academic Dean. The student must
demonstrate, by an examination from the teacher of the course, that his/her involvement in that field of study was as thorough and adequate as the
College course. Full tuition for the credits must be paid. There is also a fee for the examination.
Transfer of Columbia's credits to other colleges
or Universities Students receive excellent transfer of credits for work done at Columbia at Christian Colleges and
Universities such as Trinity Western University, Concord College,
Canadian Mennonite Bible
College, Fresno Pacific
University, Bethel College, Tabor College, University of Waterloo, and similar
institutions. Students may also receive some transfer of credits to secular Colleges and Universities.
