Columbia Spring Gala
The 2nd annual Spring Gala Evening
SATURDAY APRIL 1, 2006 in Columbia Place
|
Featuring recording artist
|
Columbia Place was transformed from a
gymnasium to an elegantly decorated banquet hall for Columbia's second
annual Spring Gala Evening. The event was attended by 260 friends
and supporters of Columbia Bible College. Recording artist, Shane
Wiebe, graced all with his amazing vocal talent while Chris Dyck,
director of Columbia's Outdoor Leadership program, kept the audience in
stitches with a hilarious story of one of his many childhood
wildnerness experiences. Through personal testimony and
multi-media presentation, guests heard first-hand how Columbia Bible
College has had a profound impact on the lives of both current and
former students. The evening was a huge success and enjoyed immensely by all who attended.
Special thanks to Gerald Thiessen and his crew for the superb feast, to
the program participants, to Toews Music in Abbotsford, BC for donating
the grand piano, to the volunteers who helped with setup and cleanup,
to the planning committee for all their hard work and to all who
generously supported the College.
Planning is underway for the next Gala Evening which will be held on Saturday April 14, 2007 so stay tuned for more details.
