Columbia Stories

My name is Josh, a student at Columbia Bible College. One thing that drew me to Columbia was the 3rd year internship for the Intercultural Studies program. Columbia gives its students the chance to study and grow in our community life for the first 2 years and for the 3rd year are sent overseas to be completely submersed into the missions field. The ICS program at CBC is unique because it offers students the chance to take what you've learned and apply it before
finishing your program.

My name is Andrea, and I am a student at Columbia Bible College. It’s not often that you get credit for paddling a rapid or bagging a peak! While we aim for the highest level of professionalism through instruction and certification, our passion is to be more than well-educated guides – Columbia’s Outdoor Leadership program asks us to develop our character, our perspectives on community, and our own motivations for success in the outdoor industry. All of the professional work that we do reflects a deeper understanding of life that is rooted in a relationship with the Creator of the Earth we so enjoy exploring.

My name is Ashley, and I am graduating with a BA from Columbia Bible College this year! From the moment I heard about the Caregiving and Counselling program I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I love studying psychology and helping people, and this program blends both these interests and integrates it with my Christian faith, which is so important to me. My relationship with God has grown so much deeper over these four years and now I feel equipped to help the people around me.

My name is Joel, and I am an American student attending Columbia Bible College. In my search to find the perfect college, I never thought that I would end up in Canada; but when I learned about the Outdoor Leadership program that Columbia offered and then looked at the price per year I was immediately sold. To get a college education at a Christian institute in the States these days can cost as much at $30,000 a year, but in Canada it is nearly a third of that! CBC gives you a great opportunity for growth, both spiritually as well as intellectually. The classes are challenging and the students are motivated to learn and grow. This is the kind of place where I want to be.

CBC has faithfully and clearly fullfilled their mission statement in my life "preparing people for life and ministry". I thank Jesus for their superior committment to God's word and his people.
