Application Process
In order for your application for Columbia Bible College to be reviewed by our Admissions Committee, please complete the following steps. Be sure to note important application dates (below).
These requirements are in place to ensure that you will be successful at Columbia. Please ensure you have taken the time to review the requirements before beginning your application.
Our application is all about YOU. We want to get to know you and understand why you are interested in Columbia. Please take the time to fill out the application questions thoroughly.
3) Contact your references.
We require that you provide two references, a person in church leadership and an adult Christian friend. References must be a non-relative at least 21 years of age and have known you for a minimum one (1) year. All information gathered will be kept confidential and will only be viewed by the admissions committee. References forms are completed online and can be found on the Admissions home page.
4) Send your transcripts to Columbia.
All students are required to submit an official high school transcript directly to Columbia. If you have not yet graduated high school a copy of your most recent transcript will be accepted temporarily. Please note that an official transcript will be required upon acceptance. Transfer students are also required to submit all post-secondary transcripts. The transcripts may be in a language other than English provided the applicant submits, in addition, an official translation in which the official translation document is also notarized prior to submittal.
Transcripts may be original documents, official copies mailed directly to Columbia Bible College from an official authority, or certified copies that bare original stamps and signatures from a notary public or the issuing institution. Translations must be notarized, and should be accurate and word-for-word. Translations must be drafted by your Ministry of Education or by a professional translator or translation company.
Please note, once transcripts are submitted to Columbia Bible College, they become the property of the institution and will not be returned.
5) Email a digital photo of yourself.
We want to put a face to your application! Please send a recent digital headshot of yourself to Admissions@Columbiabc.edu or directly to your Admissions Advisor.
6) Pay your application fee and confirmation deposit
The application fee of $150 and $300 Confirmation Deposit (totaling $450 CAD) can be paid by Visa/MasterCard, Money Transfer or Bank Wire and is non-refundable. This Confirmation Deposit may be refunded within the College’s refund policy. Important Application Dates
Time moves quickly, so we encourage students to send in their application as soon as possible. The sooner you submit your application to Columbia, the better your choice for course selection and dorm reservation!
FALL SEMESTER (September-December)
May 1 — September entry Financial aid application deadline.
June 1 — September entry application deadline.
WINTER SEMESTER (January-April)
October 1 — January entry application deadline.
November 1 —January Entry Financial aid application deadline.
