Certificate

The one year Certificate is completed in three semesters; including a Summer semester. This Basic ECE Certificate includes 12 credit hours of Bible courses and 48 credit hours of academic and practical courses. Upon completion of 500 hours of approved work in the Early Childhood Education field, graduates may apply for registration in BC as a licensed Early Childhood Educator.

Graduates of this program are qualified to work as:

  • day care assistants
  • day care supervisors
  • preschool assistants
  • preschool supervisors
  • church related children's ministries

Students may continue their studies in ECE by completing the Diploma in Early Childhood Education or completing the Post-Basic Diploma in Infant & Toddler care or Special Needs.
