Philosophy of Employee Care
We, the Columbia Board, affirm that the faculty and staff of Columbia Bible College are a gift from God and are one of our most important resources. We commit ourselves to their nurture, growth, and quest for excellence in an environment of open communication and servant leadership. We accept responsibility to care for the employee through fair financial remuneration and supportive benefits. We expect faculty, staff, and senior administrators will work together as a team of brothers and sisters in the Lord, committed to the work of God at the College and faithfulness in carrying out their responsibilities.
Employees
The CBC team is made up of approximately 70 regular full-time and part-time employees. In addition, we have teams of sessional instructors each semester and many casual workers and student workers.
As a condition of employment, all regular employees must agree with and annually affirm the CBC Mission Statement, the Responsibilities of Community Membership Statement, and one of the Mennonite Brethern Confession of Faith or Mennonite Canada Confession of Faith Statements.
Occupational Health and Safety
Columbia Bible College is vitally interested in the health and safety of its employees. A major continuing objective is to provide a safe and healthy work environment to protect our employees from injury or occupational disease. All employees must be dedicated to this objective of reducing risk of injury to themselves and the employees they work with. Please view the entire Occupational Health and Safety Policy statement.
