It was a beautiful day for the Columbia Open with blue sky and warm weather for golfers to enjoy. The day started with a tasty tailgate lunch and a shotgun start at noon. 99 golfers took to the course driving, pitching and putting their golf balls over hundreds of yards stopping for pizza, cookies, coffee and other assorted treats along the way. With the aid of mulligans and strings, golfers strived for low scores winning prizes for longest yard, fastest hole and overall lowest team score. Sadly, no golfer was able to make the hole in one, losing out on a new car and $30,000.
After an exhilarating day, golfers enjoyed a filling steak and salmon dinner, won door prizes and bid on auction items. One lucky golfer went home with the President’s prize – a 50” TV! The day came to a close with a testimony from a current CBC student and an address from President Bryan Born, thanking CBC sponsors for their continued support. The 17th annual golf tournament was a success!
We look forward to seeing you at the 18th Annual Columbia Open.
