Off Campus Worship Ministry
We believe that, although ministry on campus is great, we want to be a support and blessing to the local church and encourage you as students to get involved in a local church community. As a result, we have a few opportunities for you to plug into worship ministries in churches in the area.

The CBC Travelling Ministry Team is a small group of select musicians committed to serving the community through their music. Your director and leader is Shar Warkentin. This group will sing a great variety of music at events around campus and will also be responsible for visiting supporting churches and community events. The ministry team rehearses on campus on Monday and Wednesday afternoon from 4:00-5:30 plus additional small group rehearsals once a week at a separate time. This is a 3 credit course and an optional Service practicum credit if you are in your 1st or 2nd year. If you become part of this team, it will be considered part of your course load. Placement in this group is by audition and a high level of commitment is expected.
- Local Church Worship Teams Musicians – For those who would like to get involved in a local church, if you don’t have connections to any churches in the area and would like to be involved in leading worship or playing on a team in a church setting we will try to help you connect to a local church. You are asked to audition for worship teams at the beginning of the year and your name will be forwarded to churches that are in need of assistance.
*Please note some or all of these may be available for "Service Practicum" Credit. Please check with the Service Learning Department for more details.
