Getting Involved
Columbia offers a wide range of exciting ways for students to get involved on campus and in the community.
Columbia invites students to engage in Leadership development through Student Council, Resident or Commuter Assistant or Commuter Host positions. Athletics invites opportunities to develop skills and character through competitive play. Opportunities to engage spiritually outside the classroom exist through Chapels, Vespers and Mentoring. Spiritual emphasis weeks and Missions trips give opportunity to put our faith in action. Perhaps you may want to start a Club or join one already in place
Urban Mission Dynamics (UMD)
UMD is a four day urban plunge into the heart of the city of Vancouver, designed to expose students to the joys and challenges of urban ministry. Growing a heart for the city is our focus.
Mission Trips
Each year, Columbia facilitates participation is mission trip opportunities, where interested students put their faith into practice outside of our community. Such trips have taken students all over the world, from Alabama and Louisiana, to Costa Rica and Thailand. These trips typically occur during Reading Week and/or at the end of the Winter Semester.
