Praxis || Take your faith where culture is shaped

At the heart of everything we do at Columbia is the desire to shape and grow disciples of Christ who are passionate about living God’s love in whatever context they may find themselves. Each year our world becomes more urbanized as people continue to move into cites. Cities are a visible representation of our culture; cities shape our culture and drive it forward.

PRAXIS is an 8-month certificate program with an emphasis on faith and mission in the urban context. In PRAXIS you will learn a biblical foundation for faith and life in urban culture, addressing topics ranging from social justice, the arts, faith in the marketplace, and urban church ministry. PRAXIS will lead you through a dynamic experience of cultural engagement, Christian community, and urban mission with a blend of classroom and practical experience. PRAXIS students are exposed to the heart of the city and will discover how their faith can be lived out in our current culture.

PRAXIS is designed for students age 17-30 who are looking for a year of spiritual growth and practical faith formation as they passionately live God's love for people. Whether you have recently graduated high school or have already completed a degree, PRAXIS will be a transformational year in your life and will help you discern God's calling as you learn in community, travel across the continent and discover God's heart for the city.
