Welcome to Residence Life!
Our Dormitory facilities provide comfortable living quarters for students. This is your opportunity to “branch out” from home, yet joining 200 other students for meals and dorm fellowship.
Columbia Hall
The women's dorm has three floors of 16 rooms each. Each room has 2 single beds, 2 desks, shelves and a closet. There is a washroom between each room (4 people sharing). The lounges on the 2nd and 3rd floors have fridges and stoves, and the 3rd floor lounge houses a TV and VCR for use. Laundry facilities can be found on the 1st and 2nd floors of Columbia Hall.

Features of Living On Campus:
Dining Hall
The dining hall is located on the ground floor of the Student Services Centre just north of (across the lawn from) the Columbia Resource Center. A unique characteristic of Columbia Bible College is enjoying lunches with your own professors! It's a great opportunity to get to know them outside of the classroom.

Dietary Restrictions
Students with special dietary needs are asked to indicate their needs with a doctor's note before arrival. Columbia makes a strong effort to accommodate dietary restrictions. Early communication with Student Development regarding dietary needs is important. Requests will be processed upon acceptance and after deposit payment is made.

Laundry
In Columbia Hall (Women's Residence) laundry facilities are found on the 1st and 2nd floors. A brand new (and spacious) laundry facility has been built on campus for those men living in Montecito Apartments and for students who live in the Houses on Campus. Students living in the Meadowoods Townhouses are provided with laundry machines in their apartments.
Phone Service
During First Week, you are assigned a private extension/voice mail to receive incoming calls in your dorm. Long distance phone calls can be made from several pay phone locations on campus, or with a calling card in the dorm. Bring a calling card or purchase Phone Cards from the college bookstore.
Units (RAs/HRs/RDs)
All residence students are assigned to a unit in the dorms to which they belong for the year. The unit is overseen by a Residence Assistant (typically a 2nd year student) who leads weekly meetings and events for the unit, and who comes alongside the students, helping them connect into the CBC community. A Head Resident also oversees the unit, along with others, and is a senior student who provides further leadership for the RAs. The Residence Directors are staff members who provide leadership over the dorms and live in the dorms with the students. Their offices are located off of the student lounge.
