Student Council (STUCO)
The purpose of the Student Council is to serve and lead the students of Columbia Bible College. The members of STUCO do this by being visible and
visionary Christian leaders, demonstrating and encouraging Christ-like behavior and creating an environment that fosters good friendship and
community. They also encourage and enable students to get involved and interact with the general student body, faculty/staff, and the wider
community.

The Student Council Committees:
Student Council contains several Committees. Student Council Committees are for the student body, and by the student body; The purpose of
the Committees is to enhance community life through student involvement in service and leadership.
The Spiritual Life Committee:
This team will provide opportunities for the spiritual well being of students. The Spiritual Life
Team provides leadership for prayer and worship events, chapel input, and the prayer room. Team members will encourage others to join them in praying
for students, participation in service projects and involvement in chapel. Some events that have been done by this committee are 24/7 Prayer weeks,
Spiritual Emphasis Week, and prayer walks.
The Missional Living Committee (MLC):
This team will provide interested students
with opportunities to put their faith in to practice on campus, in the community, and internationally. This will include local outreach events such
as BBQ's and awareness campaigns, possible trips to Vancouver's east side, and international missions trips. In all things we strive to promote Godly
community and to advocate for the poor, the disenfranchised, and the disabled. We believe that to be Christian means caring about the things Christ
cared about; we strive to be a blessing to others just as Christ has blessed us.
Community Focus Committee:
This team will
implement ways to develop and nurture community on and off the CBC campus. Included in these are social and recreational activities that will help
foster the community mindset.
Art & Communication:
This team promotes the interests of the students through art, drama,
and written materials. They will plan and implement opportunities for art shows, skits/drama for college assemblies, concerts, and possibly a
newspaper.
