Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk is a regular part-time position (20 hours/week) which provides support to the Business Office by performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.  Some bookkeeping and basic accounting procedure experience is required.  Pleae view the job description for full details.

Academic Support Advisor

Columbia’s Academic Support Department seeks a temporary Academic Support Advisor to cover a maternity leave. This role involves working with students with permanent disabilities, students with academic risks and challenges, and the general student population in order to support academic success through academic accommodations, one-on-one academic coaching, tutorials, resources, and other success initiatives. A suitable candidate will have demonstrated academic success in a Bachelor’s degree program, have experience in teaching or coaching, practice effective communication, work efficiently on administrative tasks, and be gifted with patience, empathy, and hospitality.  Please view the job description for more details and qualifications.

Admissions Advisor

The Admissions Advisor is a full-time, non-management position, one of our frontline positions focused
on helping the College present Columbia to prospective students, create a cohort of interested students,
assist applicants through the admissions cycle, and offer assistance to the Orientation team.  Some occasional evenings & weekends may be required, and possibly some travel.  Please view the job description for more information and requirements.

Columbia Representative

The Columbia Representative is a full-time, non-management 9 month contract, starting August 12/19.  This is a frontline position focused on helping the College present Columbia to prospective students, create a cohort of interested students, translate prospective information to Admissions Advisors, and develop relationships with influencers.  The candidate for this position must be willing to travel and also be willing to do some irregular hours (occasional evenings & weekends).  Please view the job description for more information and requirements.

Athletics & Recreation Coordinator

The Athletics & Recreation Coordinator position is full time from August 16/19 to April 30/20. This position opening is due to a personnel leave. The major responsibilities for this position is to aid in the daily operations of Columbia Place, management of various athletics personnel and events, the oversight of Bearcat Athletics sports information, and the leadership of Columbia’s Campus Recreation Program.  Please view the job description for more details.

Intercultural Studies Associate

Passionate about justice and serving marginalized communities? The ICS Associate role at CBC is your opportunity to train leaders and educate College students to care for vulnerable neighbours in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver. Must be organized, good with budgets and tracking finances, and able to relate and communicate well with a variety of people. Tasks include planning, organizing and attending all Urban Mission Dynamics (UMD), assisting the ICS Director with ICS program initiatives including Mission Fair and Mission Week chapels, and other tasks as needed, including mentoring UMD leaders and grading assignments.   Minimum Bachelor of Arts required

This is a regular part-time position (24 hours/week) that has a typical contract year of August 16 to April 30th of each year. This part-time role allows flexibility in schedule with the summers off.  We are looking for a candidate to begin on August 16/19.  Please view the job description for full responsibilities and qualifications.

Catering Lead Cook

 The Catering Lead Cook. does food preparation for catering events throughout the year.  This position has an hourly rate with added gratuity from each event.

Counselling Services - Counsellor (Contract Position)

The Counselor position is a 20 hour per week contract position, which will default to direct counselling hours as the top priority, while offering a collegial and back up component to the Counselling Services Supervisor. At least three days per week on site are required to meet the needs of students, and attend team meetings currently scheduled for Monday afternoons. There is flexibility in hours including some evening work, to meet client needs. Tasks will be assigned and managed in collaboration with the Counselling Services Supervisor.  Please view the contract position details and qualifications.
