Director of Athletics and Recreation

The major responsibility for this full-time position is to provide leadership of the Columbia Bible College Athletics & Recreation Department.  This position will be responsible for indoor and outdoor athletics facilities, campus recreation programs, Columbia’s sports information, Athletics travel planning, home events, external relations, athlete services, PACWEST and College committees, sponsorship programs, coaching leadership and budget management.  Please view the job description for more details and job requirements.

Head Coach Men's Basketball

The Head Coach provides coaching leadership in the building and development of the Men’s Basketball Team at Columbia Bible College. The Head Coach will be expected to provide leadership in the preparation and development of student-athletes athletically, to mentor, disciple, and equip student-athletes in developing life skills and Christ-like character, and to provide administrative and relational support within the Athletics program as well.  Please view the job description for more details and requirements.

Catering Lead Cook

This position will do food preparation and may be asked to attend catered events and execute food service.  Flexibility in hours is required.  Remuneration will include gratuity from events.  Please view the job decription for more details and qualifications.

Piano and Theory Instructor - Contract position

Columbia Bible College is looking for a theory and piano instructor for their Worship Arts department. This is a contract position to teach: private piano lessons beginner through advanced (both semesters), Theory 1 (fall semester—larger class with 2 hrs of in-class instruction and a private keyboard lab for each student); Theory 2 (winter semester—smaller class with 1 hr of in-class instruction and a private keyboard lab for each student); and an advanced Music Arrangement class for upper level students (winter semester). Our theory courses are paired with keyboard labs that allow students one-on-one instruction applying theory taught in the classroom to basic keyboarding skills.These are College courses, so syllabus preparation and grading, as well as participation in two semester-end recitals a year and a department year-end meeting are also expected.

The successful candidate has master’s level music training or ARCT qualification (or is in process) and is able to teach varying skill levels in a variety of piano styles. Preference will be given to a candidate who can teach classical piano and theory skills as well as help students transition to improvising from chord charts.
