Library Catalogue

To access your account click on "My Account" and enter your Columbia ID card number and Password. If you do not have a password, enter the last 4 digits of the ID card. Forgotten your password? Select "forgot your password" and a temporary password will be emailed to the address on that account. Or, phone 604-853-3567 ext. 339 for assistance.

Course Reserves/Course Texts   The Course Reserves list can be accessed from the Library Catalogue main page  ( and textbooks are available at the Circulation/Checkout counter. Not all text books are purchased by the library. Check for holdings in the Library Catalogue.
e-Books   ebooks can be accessed through the Library catalogue at:  as well as the ebsco-ebook platform at:
Journal Databasses
Database Authentication   Journal and ebsco ebook databases: ID card number. No password. Community users may not access journal databases and ebooks from remote locations.
Subject Guides & Other Guides
Citation Guides   MLA style is used for most programs. The Columbia Bible College Term Paper Guide is MLA style guide.   The APA Style is used for Psychology and selective Educational Assistant courses;(  APA Style 7th edition will be adopted September 2020.

Interlibrary Loans   The library does not offer ILL services to students and community users. Students, staff and faculty are eligible to register at Trinity Western University Library and University of the Fraser Valley Library at no cost. Students and Faculty must present 2 pieces of ID; valid Columbia ID card and picture ID (driver's license/or medical card).
e-Journals   Available through the Journal Databases.
Print Journals   The print Journal List is out of date and being updated. Print journals are shelved alphabetically by title. Check for journal titles in the library catalogue.

Borrowing Information

Library Cards   CBC ID card must be presented.  TWU, ACTS, MBBS students may present their library card to register and borrow materials.
Loan Periods
Borrowing/Lending Policies
Library Account Information   Log into My Library Account. Enter Columbia ID card number and Password.  No password or forgotten it, select "forgot your password" and a temporary password will be emailed to the address on that account. There may be a 5 minute delay in receiving temporary password. Or, phone 604-853-3567 ext. 339 for assistance.
Returning items after hours   Items may be returned in the library drop box after hours.

Equipment and Facilities

Internet Access   8 desktop terminals; internet ports also available to students and non-students. The library loans out internet cables.
Wireless Access   Free Wi-Fi available to patrons. Ask library staff for password. Or students can login to My CBC to obtain wireless password.
Photocopiers   1 black & white copier. Columbia ID card is required. $0.10/page. Non-students ask library staff for assistance. Add money to student account  under My CBC  either online or at main reception during office hours Monday to Friday. The deposit will be added the following day.  Ask library staff for assistance
Print from Library Stations and personal laptop   Columbia ID card number is required and student portal password is the PIN. Cost $0.10/pg. Add money to your student account either online or in person at main reception during office hours Monday to Friday. To add money to your card online login to My CBC. Your deposit will be added the following day. Non-students ask staff for assistance to use printer. Wireless printing from personal laptops is available. Log in to Columbia's PaperCut site at: and follow the prompts. Ask library staff for assistance. 
Microfilm/Microfiche   1 Microfiche reader is available
Meeting/Study Rooms   1 independent and 2 group study rooms are available in the library for two hour bookings at a time. Rooms may be booked at the Circulation /Checkout Counter.

Student Portal   Username and Password is the same as MYCBC.  Students will have received username and password in their registration package.  Students can do a “Forget your password” if they don’t remember their password.
Moodle   Login at MyCBC – then login Moodle. Not all instructors use Moodle to manage classes, assignments and more.  Login to Moodle is firstnamelastname (no spaces). Password for first time users is Moodle1.  If the student has logged in before they can “forget your password” if they don’t remember their password. If students contine to have trouble loggin on or accessing courses: email the Moodle Administrator.
