The Race

A race in the dark with lots and lots of glow sticks - how could this not be fun?

The CBC Athletic Department is proud to announce the return of the Bearcat Prowl, a family-friendy glow-in-the-dark 5K Fun Run/Walk. Everyone's welcome to join in - little kids, basketball players, alumni, professors, expert runners and total novices.  

The Cause

All proceeds from this year's event will help purchase sports kits for Dormick Park Elementary School in Abbotsford. These sports kits will contain much-needed sports equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, and more) that will help students be active and athletic during outside time!

Is this race for you?

If you've never run in an official race before but always wanted to try, this is the perfect event for you. There is an official start and finish, with a 5K route with small inclines here and there. This event isn't chip-timed, so bring a stop watch or phone with a timer.

Our Athletics Director, Matt Kaminski, created a fun, easy learn-to-run plan to help you get ready.
