Choose Your Meal Plan

How Meal Plans work:

  • If you live in residence, you'll need to choose a meal plan (Junior Housing plan if you're in Junior Housing, and a Jr. or Sr. Housing plan if you're in Senior Housing).
  • Meal plans work like a debit card. Money is loaded onto your 1Card. At the dining till, just swipe your card to pay for your meal or snack, and your balance will decline.
  • You can add more money to your meal plan at any point in the semester, but once the money has been added to your account it's not refundable.

Which Meal Plan is Right for Me?

Jr. Housing - Basic

Designed for maximum flexibility. When you run out of funds, you can add money to your card. Your total spending will depend on your individual appetite, your food/beverage choices, and on whether you stock your res cupboard with snacks from the grocery store. The average student spends about $1000/semester.

$500 plus GST per semester

Sr. Housing Meal Plan

Designed for students living in Senior Housing who plan to cook their own meals and want to buy the occasional prepared meal or grab a coffee/snack on the way to class.

$325 plus GST per semester

HOW MUCH SHOULD I HAVE LEFT?

A declining meal plan chart is available at the cashier, where you can see how much money you should have left at any point in the semester.

Holy Grounds Coffee Shop

Holy Grounds is a student-run coffee shop located in the Rec Room (basement of the Student Centre). Specializing in fair-trade coffee, Holy Grounds is open to students throughout the academic year. Cash and 1Cards (general acccount) are accepted.
